BOB BOUCK WILL BE GREATLY MISSED
When Bob Bouck suddenly passed away on September 13, the Bouck family lost a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and uncle. Grand Ledge lost a legendary community pillar and friend.
For among the many community service organizations that Bob was appointed or elected to, none were more fortunate and grateful to have his service than the Grand Ledge PONY Baseball & Softball Board of Directors.
Bob served on the Board for Grand Ledge PONY for more than 30 years in every possible capacity; most recently as Secretary, but also as the long term past President and Treasurer. I can assure you that there is no one that has been more dedicated or given more time and energy to the community of Grand Ledge, in particular to the kids of Grand Ledge, than Bob Bouck. His leadership, vision, wisdom, commitment, determination, guidance and good humor will be greatly, greatly missed and will never be able to be replaced.
Unfortunately and regrettably, we did not have an opportunity to properly thank Bob for everything that he did for our organization. This letter being posthumous, as a note of this sort can only be, it is my hope that perhaps he will still come to know of it and will find joy in its words.
So, on behalf of the Grand Ledge PONY Baseball & Softball Board of Directors, I want to take this opportunity to express our sincere and deepest appreciation to Bob, along with his wife Terry and to the rest of his family, for the countless hours of dedication and outstanding service he provided; and most of all for caring so much about and working so hard to provide community based youth baseball & softball programs here in Grand Ledge.
We all applaud you; in fact we give you a rousing standing ovation and a tip of the cap for a job very well done. It truly is people like Bob that make Grand Ledge such a special place to live and raise a family. He certainly will be greatly missed.
Most Sincerely,
Jeff Huard, President
Grand Ledge PONY Baseball & Softball
